About us

The owner - Hui Zhang-Sievers

Philosophy

Hui Zhang-Sievers aims to harmonize the knowledge and experience of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with the knowledge and methods of 21st century Western medicine. She is convinced that the combination of both approaches opens up individual, holistic and, above all, sustainable paths to healing and health care. Together with her dedicated team of therapists and receptionists, she is committed to providing patients with comprehensive, professional and empathetic care on a daily basis. The practice is based on a deep understanding of the interactions between body, mind and environment – as well as on modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. In addition to proven TCM methods such as acupuncture and Tuina, Western techniques of chiropractic, nutritional therapy and manual medicine are also used. The aim: individual treatment concepts that both alleviate acute complaints and strengthen health in the long term.

Tuina Massage (Ken Yamamoto Technique)

Ryoko has extensive experience in manual therapy within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Her special focus is on the Ken Yamamoto Technique (KYT) – a modern, functionally oriented treatment method for correcting muscular imbalances.

The Ken Yamamoto Technique is based on an anatomically and functionally precise understanding of muscle chains and joint relationships. The aim of the method is to identify misalignments in the pelvic and spinal area and to correct them in a targeted manner through muscle relaxation and activation. This involves treating specific muscle groups that may be the cause of pain symptoms in other parts of the body.

The combination of Tuina and KYT allows for an effective, holistic approach that takes into account both energetic and structural imbalances.

Areas of application of the Ken Yamamoto Technique include

  • Chronic and acute back pain
  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Pelvic obliquity, sciatica, lumbar/spinal syndromes
  • Poor posture and functional leg length discrepancies
  • Restricted movement due to muscular dysfunctions

Ryoko uses individually tailored treatment and works both preventively and as an adjunct to therapy for existing musculoskeletal complaints. Her approach combines the centuries-old principles of TCM with the latest findings from functional muscle therapy.

Tuina massage (Shiatsu, Yurashi)

Naoko-san has been working as a shiatsu therapist since 2015. She completed her training at
, including at the European Shiatsu Institute in Berlin. She also trained as a Yurashi therapist in 2021.

Her treatments improve the flow of energy in the body, strengthen the body’s self-healing powers and have a positive effect on the immune system and the autonomic nervous system. They also release blockages and help to relieve stress and tension. To a certain extent, they also provide relief from chronic illnesses.

What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a traditional massage therapy from Japan. During the treatment, manual pressure is applied to the energy points in the body to release blockages in the energy flow. This stimulation has a positive effect on the organs connected to the energy pathways.

What is Yurashi?

Yurashi is based on a traditional Japanese therapy method using stroking massages. Gentle touches on tense muscles and rocking and swaying movements of the limbs are intended to release tension and blockages in the long term. Firm pressure is deliberately avoided in order to bypass the body’s natural defense mechanisms against external contact and pain.

Tuina (osteopathy, physiotherapy, shiatsu)

Erika Obayashi successfully completed her training as a state-approved judo therapist in Japan.
Judo therapy, a traditional Japanese manual therapy, is an effective combination of elements of osteopathy, physiotherapy and shiatsu therapy.

The focus of this special treatment method is on a holistic view of the symptoms. Attention is paid to the entire body and it is viewed as a functional unit.

Erika’s therapy focuses in particular on the health of the pelvis, the center of our body. An imbalance of the pelvis often leads to a misalignment of the entire body, resulting in a posture that is not healthy, which in turn causes further complaints. For this reason, it is very important to focus on the pelvis.

In addition to her training as a judo therapist, Ms. Obayashi also has further training in the following areas:

  • Pelvic corrections
  • Sports Taping
  • Atlas therapy
  • Jaw therapy
  • Shiatsu foot massage
  • Physiotherapy

Tuina (acupressure, shiatsu)

Yukako is a specialized therapist with many years of professional experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She has been an integral part of our team for over ten years and has several decades of clinical practice in manual therapy. Her professional focus is on acupressure, supplemented by Tuina massage and Shiatsu techniques.

Acupressure is one of the central manual treatment methods within TCM. It is based on the targeted stimulation of acupoints along the meridians – the body’s energy channels. Precise finger pressure regulates the flow of Qi (vital energy), releases energy blockages and supports the physiological function of internal organs. Acupressure works both locally and systemically by influencing the autonomic nervous system, muscle tension and overall energy levels.

Yukako uses acupressure for a variety of functional complaints, including:

  • Muscle tension and chronic pain
  • Sleep disorders and inner restlessness
  • Stress-related complaints (e.g. exhaustion, irritability)
  • Digestive disorders
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Headaches and tension symptoms

She integrates elements of Tuina and Shiatsu into her treatments in order to deepen the therapeutic effect and respond individually to the physical constitution and current symptoms of her patients.

Yukako’s treatment approach is characterized by precision, a deep understanding of the energetic connections and a mindful, patient-centered way of working.
